Some disheartening news...

In a little less than a month, I will be experiencing the hell known as the GRE. In grand obsessive freak out tradition (that may be a combination of Rachel and Monica's neuroses), I've gone into study overdrive mode. For the next couple weeks, I'm going to take a blogging vacation (albeit, one lacking in fun). No worries, I'll be back after the 10th of July to finish up season four. Swear.

  2. I took the GRE two years ago. Here's my advice (not that you asked).

    1. Don't worry about the essay. You'll get a 5 -- the top score -- if you can make a point and write to support it.
    2. Focus on root words for improving your vocabularly. Don't make flashcards -- they'll take to long. Buy a GRE vocab prep book and read it.
    3. Math review! The GRE doesn't go beyond Algebra II, so don't waste your time learning hard-core math.

Get a review book that has online tests so you can time yourself. You'll find your rhythm and be fine.

    Good luck!

  3. Merrie- Your advice is much appreciated! Thank you!
I should do pretty well on the verbal section *knock on wood* Though I do have some trouble with the analogies, but it's getting better. As for math, well, there's no hope. I'm banking on the assumption that creative writing programs won't care that I'm going to get, like, the lowest math score possible.
